Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least one year of prior travel nursing experience and a Missouri or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU/CICU) of a children's hospital
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract assignment
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for critical care pediatric cardiac patients
- May float to the Cardiac Med-Surg floor to assist with patient care
- May float between the main campus and a sister hospital located approximately 12 miles away in Overland Park, KS
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active Missouri and Kansas State RN License, or Compact License, required
- AHA BLS and PALS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- At least 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU critical care experience clearly reflected in work history
- Minimum 1 year of prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references from a supervisor-level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

- Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with a Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU

- Kid-friendly scrub colors or patterns required for RNs
- Smoke-free and nicotine-free campus; nicotine testing conducted
- Must pass a medication/dosage competency test with a 100% score within the first week of assignment, with up to 3 attempts allowed
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Free parking available with permit
