Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and structural heart procedures for a cardiac intervention radiology setting.

Details

Interventional cardiac cath lab with structural heart program
3 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 15
5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Requires 3 call shifts within a two-week period
Weekend call required approximately every 6 weeks
Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab / EP experience required
BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R), and Fluoroscopy Permit required
California CRRT state license required and must be in hand prior to consideration
License required if applicable
Trauma Level II experience preferred
Proficiency in procedures such as diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, and pacemaker insertion/removal
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, vascular closure systems, and IABP/Impella placement
Skilled in venous access, central line care, and sterile scrub technique
Knowledge of PACS, fluoroscopy equipment, and infection control practices

Additional Information

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including structural heart interventions, coronary interventions, and vascular access management
Responsibilities include room circulation, scrubbing, equipment setup, and patient monitoring during procedures
Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias during procedures
Scrubs are provided
First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
Local candidates accepted, though radius rules may apply for former employees
Former Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
May be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
