Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ICU experience and prior IR nursing background.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a short-term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
- Perform and support procedures including CT guided biopsy, fistulograms, GJ-tube placement, lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage required approximately every 3-4 weekends depending on staffing needs
- On-call requirements include one weeknight call shift every other week (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and one weekend call shift every 4-6 weeks (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, 3-5 years of IR nursing experience preferred
- ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience monitoring procedural sedation and administering related medications
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs or Leads
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care and monitoring during interventional radiology procedures
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- RTO should be kept under 7 days and must be requested at time of submission
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent employees at this health system may return after a 3-month waiting period
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
