Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position requiring 2+ years of CVI Lab Tech experience and prior travel assignment experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit performing cardiac and vascular procedures
- Day shift, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required for weeknights and weekends, including 4 24-hour weekend on-call shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per 8-week schedule
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVI Lab Tech required, within the last 7 years
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- MD state license or compact license required; license required if applicable
- Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, ACLS
- ARRT VI certification preferred
- Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, aortography, endograft placement, IVC filter placement/removal, pulmonary arteriography, renal angiography, and stent placement
- Experience with vascular studies including carotid stenting, dialysis graft creation/revision and interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Skilled in equipment setup, access site prep, scrubbing and maintaining sterile field, and room circulator duties
- Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
- Familiarity with fluoroscopy equipment, preferably Philips, Siemens, and ultrasound
- Knowledge of PACS, isolation precautions/PPE, and sterile technique
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply stocking
- Light blue scrubs provided
- No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Returning MedStar staff must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
