Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology RN for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring an active IL license and at least 1 year of IR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Level II Trauma center with 372 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required one night per week, every 4th weekend
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required and in hand at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform IR procedures including vascular studies, GI studies, neurological procedures, pulmonary studies, and genitourinary procedures
• Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and radiation/laser safety
• Experience with medications such as antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents preferred
• Scrubs provided for this role
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Travel pairs are not accepted
