Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Night Shift ICU position requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• Typical ICU patient ratios of 1:2 for critically ill patients and 1:3-4 for lower-acuity patients
• Floating required in rotation with staff according to unit policies and clinical experience
• Must clock in and out for lunch breaks

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• 2-3 years of ICU experience required
• Experience managing more than one patient at a time required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• No artificial nails, gel polish, or dip nails permitted
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Must reside within an 80-mile radius of the facility
• Requests for time off must be approved prior to assignment start, with a preference for no RTO in the first two weeks
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with permanent staff
• Floating will comply with Joint Commission standards, including appropriate orientation to the new unit
