Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Interventional Radiology, requiring ARRT VI, BLS, and 2+ years of vascular IR experience.

Details

  • Imaging support in the OR working vascular interventional radiology
  • 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Rotating call every 4th week
  • Hybrid OR and interventional radiology work settings including special procedures
  • Uses Siemens equipment and ultrasound

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • ARRT VI and BLS certifications required
  • VA state license required if applicable, pending licenses accepted
  • BSN preferred
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Skilled in vascular studies/procedures, angioplasty, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper and lower extremity angiography
  • Experience prepping access sites and using vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Carotid stenting experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform imaging support for vascular interventional procedures in the OR
  • Must float within scope of practice as needed
  • 50-mile radius rule applies for this unit, so local candidates are not accepted
  • Maximum 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract, with all RTO disclosed at submission
  • Any pre-start vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed
  • Previous UVA employees must have 1-year separation and leadership approval to return
  • External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching this limit
  • Specialty-specific orientation modules are completed during onboarding
