Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT-VI/BLS certification.

Details

• Provide imaging support in the OR working vascular interventional radiology cases
• Work in a hybrid OR and interventional radiology special procedures setting
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Rotating call every 4th week
• 50 mile radius rule applies

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• ARRT-VI and BLS certification required
• VA state license required if applicable, pending licenses may be accepted
• BSN preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with vascular studies/procedures including angioplasty, endovascular interventions (EVAR, TEVAR), and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
• Carotid stenting and thrombolysis/thrombectomy experience preferred
• Experience with upper and lower extremity angiography
• Experience prepping access sites and using vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
• Experience with Siemens equipment and ultrasound preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Perform vascular interventional radiology procedures in a hybrid OR and special procedures environment
• Must float within scope of practice as needed per facility policy
• Local candidates not accepted for this unit due to 50 mile radius restriction
• Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning as a traveler
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching this limit
