Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Stepdown RN for a night shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN licensure and at least one year of recent Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Stepdown Cardiac unit
- Night shift schedule (4x12, 19:00-7:30)
- Accepts 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules
- 13 to 26 week assignment options available
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Medication and arrhythmia exam required upon consideration
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or Telemetry unit
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care
- Experience with blood product administration and cardiac drip titration
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
- Experience with chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac) preferred
- Experience with tracheostomy care preferred
- Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of rapid response and code teams
- Manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including post-MI and pre/post cardiac catheterization care
- Follow heparin protocols and PCA management as needed
- Care for patients requiring isolation precautions and PPE use
- Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
- Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
- Night shift candidates in this specialty must reside 50+ miles from the contracted campus to be eligible, with candidates under 50 miles ineligible
