Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a 13-week contract requiring 2+ years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, including hybrid OR settings
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts, either 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
- On-call required every 4 to 5 weekends
- Epic EMR experience required
- Special equipment used includes Impella, IABP, Aviggo+, IVUS, Coroflow, Rotoblade, and coronary/peripheral lithotripsy devices
- Additional equipment includes fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, and ultrasound
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
- Current ARRT (R), ACLS, and BLS certifications required; ARRT CI preferred
- License required if applicable
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency with EKG lead placement, access site prep, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion
- Skilled in left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA procedures
- Experience with vascular studies including angioplasty, angiography, and stent placement
- Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, room circulating, equipment setup, and maintaining sterile field
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, TAVR, Watchman, and permanent pacemaker insertions as applicable
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- Scrubs are provided
- First-time travelers accepted if they meet the 2-year experience requirement
- RTO must be finalized prior to submission for consideration
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a different rate
