Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN with an active Ohio or compact license and at least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

• Float pool position within a hospital's Med/Surg Tele unit, with potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night 3x12 shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
• Shifts may vary based on the hospital's operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Assignment length options of 13 or 20 weeks to provide winter coverage

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele, preferably within one location
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience, travel experience accepted
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients across multiple units and the ED as needed
• Two attempts allowed to pass the ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments; failure to pass results in cancellation
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required; coworker references are not accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for one year from their previous end date
