Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring CA licensure, 2 years of MICU experience with mixed neuro/CCU exposure, and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work in the ICU on a night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Weekend and holiday coverage included
  • Patient ratios up to 1:4
  • May float up to 50% to DOU/PCU, Telemetry, or ER Hold units
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license (permanent, current Nursys verification required)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of MICU experience with mixed patient population including neuro and solid CCU experience
  • ICU training required beyond hands-on orientation, including experience with sepsis management
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • Recent hands-on Epic charting experience required
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Two professional references required at supervisor level or above (Charge Nurse references not accepted)
  • Valid driver's license with proof of current, permanent address required for consideration
  • Proof of vaccinations required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting with exposure to trauma, neuro, and cardiovascular cases
  • Backfilling for departing staff members
  • RTO must be submitted at time of application with a maximum of 7 days; no RTO accepted after submission
  • Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at the local rate
