Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS or CCI certification for a part-time cardiac imaging role.
Details
- Part-time position at 24 hours per week
- 3x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, and ICU work settings
- Performs TTE, TSE, TEE, TEE/CV, bubble studies, and Definity contrast studies
- Patient ratio of 1:7-8
- Utilizes GE and Philips ultrasound equipment with PACS imaging
- Charting completed in Epic and PACS
- Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays as needed, though no set schedule is required
Requirements
- ARDMS or CCI certification required (not both)
- BLS and RDCS certification required
- ARDMS RDCS AE and CCI RCS certifications preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- MA license required if applicable
- Experience with adult echo, 2-D and 3-D echo, bubble study, color doppler, contrast imaging, M-mode, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT, and TEE
- Proficiency with diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA, and Simpson's rule calculations
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Two references required for consideration, with at least one from a nurse manager or higher
Additional Information
- Perform echocardiographic studies including TTE, TSE, TEE, and contrast-enhanced imaging studies
- Conduct procedures on ICU and ED patients requiring isolation precautions and appropriate PPE
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with none allowed during the first week
- Must complete a pass/fail EKG test during orientation
