Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center requiring MS/Tele experience and IV insertion skills.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of a Level III Trauma Center
• Patient population includes all ages
• Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Meditech EHR used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend or as-needed weekend requirement
• As-needed call requirements
• Float requirement as needed with possibility to float to similar med/surg units

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1+ years of MS/Tele experience required
• IV insertion skills required
• Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients of all ages
• Scrub color is flexible; casual wear is not acceptable attire
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for this travel position
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
