Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 1+ years of experience and current ARRT MR certification for a Trauma Level I hospital setting.
Details
- Provide MRI imaging services to inpatient and outpatient adult populations, including ICU and ER/Trauma cases
- Perform brain scans (perfusion, functional, spectroscopy), body imaging (enterography, defecography, musculoskeletal), breast imaging (including biopsy), and spine imaging
- Work 3x12-hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Participate in on-call rotation Monday through Thursday approximately every 2-3 weeks
- Utilize Siemens MRI equipment and PACS imaging system
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
- ARRT MR certification required; ARMRIT certification not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Trauma Level I hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience imaging abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
- Proficiency in special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, and spectroscopy
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
- Fluoroscopy permit preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper mask seal for mandatory respirator fit testing, with no medical or religious exemptions allowed
- CAPR and PAPR devices are not provided and personal units may not be used
- Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not eligible for this position
- Requires 2 professional references from a supervisor dated within the past 2 years
- All application materials and references must be free of any agency logos
- Travelers cannot work beyond 1 year in this role and must take a 6-month break before returning
