Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting within a Level I Trauma facility, requiring 1+ year of acute care experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting supporting multiple units within a Level I Trauma facility
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Some weekend shifts required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, fractures, and spinal conditions preferred
• Experience with cardiopulmonary conditions such as COPD, CHF, and CABG preferred
• Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation and spinal cord injury preferred
• Proficiency with assistive devices, gait training, and patient transfer equipment
• Strong documentation skills including evaluations, plans of care, and reassessments
• References required for consideration

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination
• Focus on home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safety/injury prevention
• Located near prime Montana skiing and outdoor recreation in Big Sky/Yellowstone Country
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted at travel rates
• Returning permanent staff must have a 2-year break in employment before eligibility
