Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night-shift assignment requiring a CT or compact RN license and community hospital experience.
Details
- Work in the ICU of a community hospital setting
- Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30, with 36-hour schedules accepted
- 8-week contract assignment
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Float to Med-Surg/Telemetry and Telemetry units within scope of practice
- Adult patient population
- Uses Accudose medication dispensing system
- Documentation completed in Cerner EMR
- SBAR communication system utilized
- Blue scrubs required
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- CVICU and MICU experience preferred
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
- Central line care and management experience
- Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience caring for and managing ventilated patients
- Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

- Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Adherence to infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE use
