Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring AZ or compact license and 2+ years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 38-bed facility
• Trauma Level III certified, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12s)
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Must be willing to float
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• NIHSS certification recommended but not required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking skills
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities among assigned staff
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Black scrub color dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
