Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg position at a Level I trauma center, requiring a WI or compact license and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Float Pool role covering Medical, Surgical/Peds, Ortho/Neuro, and Sub-Acute units
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Requires working every other weekend and holiday

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Education verification required for consideration
• Prior nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies
• Documents care according to established standards
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians or hospital policy
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of longitudinal patient care
• Applies critical thinking to ensure patient safety and appropriately escalates concerns through the chain of command
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the schedule
