Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT(R) certification in a Level III trauma center.

Details

• Level III trauma center Interventional Radiology department (no neuro cases)
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM on non-holidays
• Rotational on-call coverage required: 15-hour weeknight call beginning at 4:00 PM and 24-hour weekend/holiday call beginning at 7:00 AM
• Uses Epic charting system
• Requires maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed in for procedures
• Utilizes Philips fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
• BLS and ARRT(R) certification required; ACLS and ARRT(VI) preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, and Genitourinary Studies/Procedures
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a range of vascular and interventional procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsies, thrombectomy, drain placements, and angiography
• Responsible for equipment setup, site prep, sterile technique, and infection control
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a different rate
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; time off requests after submission will not be accommodated
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• PA fingerprint clearance (Childline/FBI) is required and must be completed shortly after signing, which may involve travel
• A pass/fail competency exam is required for clearance, with a limited number of attempts allowed
