Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a Radiology - Diagnostic unit, requiring ARRT-R certification and at least two years of x-ray tech experience including portables and c-arms.

Details

• Diagnostic Radiology department
• 8-hour shifts with start times ranging between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule including every other weekend

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification required
• RT license required in state of practice (CA and HI)
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Fluoroscopy license required in state of employment (required in CA within 6 months of hire)
• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
• At least 2 years of x-ray tech experience required, including portables and c-arms
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by physicians
• Position and instruct patients prior to exams and adjust equipment settings including voltage, current, and exposure time
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
• Prepare equipment and exam rooms for patient exams
• Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams
• Document exam information and report important findings to physicians
• Verify exams on PACS
• No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
