Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN Nurse Lead for a Labor and Delivery unit, requiring 5+ years of RN experience and at least 2 years of supervisory/charge nurse experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital featuring a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and trauma center designation
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, no set schedule/rotating
• No call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (within the last 2 years)
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provides unit-based leadership, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, and Physicians
• Participates in patient care activities and conducts rounds to assess patient needs and introduce self to patients and families
• Coordinates care conferences with health team members, patients, and families to develop and revise individualized care plans
• Develops strategies with leadership to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction
• Fosters a culturally sensitive, patient and family-centered care environment
• Accepts local candidates, with local pay rates equal to travel rates and no radius restriction
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
