Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active CA RN license, AWHONN certification, and 2 years of experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- On-call as needed with no weekend requirement
- Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN certification required (Advanced AWHONN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required
Additional Information
- Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- May supervise LVNs, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates
- Returning staff or travelers must have a one-year separation before returning to the facility
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Holiday periods run from 7:00 PM the night before through 7:00 AM the day after
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
