Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN with a CA license, AWHONN Advanced certification, and 2 years of L&D experience for a night shift assignment.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Provides individualized nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patient groups
- Patient ratio of 1:1-2
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- On-call responsibilities as needed
- No weekend requirement
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- AWHONN Advanced certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- May supervise other staff nurses, LVNs, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Only one holiday RTO request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Holiday periods run from 7:00 PM the night before through 7:00 AM the day after the holiday
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
