Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications.

Details

• Work in a combined Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Monday-Friday day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certification required; PALS preferred
• Valid state license required if applicable
• Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing for interventional procedures
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, right/left heart catheterization, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with vascular closure devices, embolization, angioplasty, stent placement, and vascular access procedures preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Minimal to no time off approved; any requests must be discussed and approved prior to assignment start
• Returning staff must have been gone at least one year and in good standing at time of departure
• Some holiday and weekend shifts expected in rotation with permanent staff
• Floating occurs within the hospital in accordance with facility policy, with orientation provided per Joint Commission standards
