Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring KY licensure and NRP certification on a night shift schedule.
Details
- Work in a 4-8 bed NICU within the Center for Women's Health
- Patient ratios typically 3:1 or less depending on acuity and census
- Minimum of 2 NICU nurses staffed at all times on both day and night shifts
- Uses Alaris pump, Medfusion pump, Dash 5000, phototherapy lights, iStat machine, glucometer, giraffe beds, panda warmer, ohio warmer, bili meter, and traditional ventilator
- Utilizes Centricity Perinatal and Meditech Expanse EMR systems
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Required to work every other weekend
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
- 2 years of hospital setting experience required
- STABLE certification preferred
- Delivery team experience preferred
- Skilled in IV starts, lab draws, medication administration, UVC/UAC line maintenance, patient assessments, assisting with intubation, chest tube placement, umbilical line placement, and circumcision procedures
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive NICU nursing care including line maintenance, assessments, and assisting providers with procedures
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- No local candidates will be considered
