Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with 2 years of experience across all phases of care and an active WA or compact RN license for a day-shift position at a Level III Trauma Center.

Details

• Short term acute care, Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds
• PACU unit covering pre-op, post-op, and PACU phases of care
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:5
• No floating between units required
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience across all phases of care required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• First-time travelers considered if experienced in all phases of care

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care including pre-op assessment, intra-op monitoring, and post-op recovery
• Skilled in airway management, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and management of various surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, ortho, and vascular cases
• Familiarity with pain management, PCA pump management, and RASS scale assessment
• Any color scrubs accepted
• No parking fee at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• May be required to float to sister facilities within the same health system
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Candidates must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
