Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based assignment requiring ARRT(N) or CNMT certification and 3+ years of experience preferred.

Details

• Hospital-based assignment operating on a two-tech model, so techs are never working alone
• Focus on cardiology and general nuclear medicine, no PET procedures
• GE scanner utilized
• Day shift schedule, either 4x10 or 5x8, with 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM start times
• Primary work location is the Memorial Campus with possible float requirement to the nearby University Campus
• Call requirements include 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month, with additional call available upon request

Requirements

• ARRT(N) or NMTB/CNMT certification required
• MA state license required to start; license required if applicable
• DOT certification in Radioactive Waste highly preferred
• 3 years of nuclear medicine experience highly preferred, 1 year minimum required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in Bone Scan, 3 Phase, and Whole Body imaging required
• Experience with SPECT, myocardial perfusion, renal flow/function, and pharmacological stress testing preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, IV starting and maintenance, and radioactive material storage/handling/disposal required

Additional Information

• Perform nuclear cardiology and general nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, myocardial perfusion studies, renal scans, gastric emptying studies, and HIDA scans
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
