Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years of recent hospital experience and ARRT-MR certification for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI department serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Uses GE and Siemens MRI equipment
- EPIC EMR system used for documentation
- 3x12 hour night shifts, Sunday through Tuesday, 18:30-07:00
- Float required between orthopedic unit and main hospital
- No call requirements
- 13-20 week assignment length available
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT-MR certification required
- License required if applicable
- Recent hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience required (unit will not accept first-time travelers)
- Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Proficiency with diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MRA, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted images, and CINE
- Chest imaging and image post-processing experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging studies across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
- Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
- Unit orientation runs 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with hospital orientation required during the first week; full availability for all orientation classes is required
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Pre-start learning modules (approximately 8-10 hours for acute care roles) must be completed before start and annually
- Testing must be completed within 48 hours of signing, with lab visit required within 48 hours
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
- Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before reapplying and disclose prior employment details
- Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved (excluding holidays); no RTO permitted during first week of assignment
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Travel pairs allowed if assigned to different units and disclosed at submission
