Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN requiring 2 years IR experience and neuro IR procedure skills for a hospital-based role.

Details

Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Call requirements included with this schedule
Cares for patients across the lifespan from neonates through geriatric in a procedural setting
Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
1 year of Neuro experience required, or equivalent Neuro experience within a general ICU
Neuro IR procedure experience required
Skilled in neurological studies and procedures including carotid angiography, cerebral angiography, neurologic thrombolysis, and vertebroplasty
Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience monitoring procedural sedation and administering related medications
Experience with CVA, aneurysms, myelograms, and lumbar puncture procedures
Previous travel nursing experience required
Trauma Level I experience preferred
At least one professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care for a wide range of interventional radiology and neuro IR procedures
Trauma Level I hospital environment
Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted for this role
Previous permanent staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months to return as a traveler
All requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission, as later requests will not be approved
First-time travelers are not eligible for consideration given the travel experience requirement
