Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring ICP and lumbar drain experience at a Level I trauma facility.
Details
- Neuro Intensive Care Unit setting at a Level I trauma hospital
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
- 14-week assignment length
- Required to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Expected to work 3 of 5 winter holidays
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- 2 years of Neuro ICU experience preferred
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Experience with ICP monitoring and lumbar drains required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Licox experience preferred
- At least 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide care for patients requiring respiratory/thoracic support including ventilator management
- Manage neurological cases including CVA/acute stroke, post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Returning permanent staff must be separated from all affiliated facilities for 6 months before returning as a traveler
- Any requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration, as requests made afterward will not be approved
- Candidates with any license hits will not be accepted
