Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring ICP and lumbar drain experience at a Level I trauma facility.

Details

• Neuro Intensive Care Unit setting at a Level I trauma hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• 14-week assignment length
• Required to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Expected to work 3 of 5 winter holidays

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 years of Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with ICP monitoring and lumbar drains required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Licox experience preferred
• At least 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care for patients requiring respiratory/thoracic support including ventilator management
• Manage neurological cases including CVA/acute stroke, post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must be separated from all affiliated facilities for 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Any requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration, as requests made afterward will not be approved
• Candidates with any license hits will not be accepted
