Description
American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a 13-week Trauma Level I assignment requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room setting within a Trauma Level I facility
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Cares for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Performs a wide range of surgical procedures including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedic, and trauma cases
- On-call requirements apply and will be discussed during interview
- Epic charting experience preferred, though other EMR experience will be considered
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS also required
- Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Experience with general surgery, gynecology, and orthopedic procedures required
- Neurology procedure experience preferred
- Burn and scrub/hand/burn skills preferred
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across general, gynecologic, orthopedic, and trauma surgical cases
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
