Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Oncology with ONS/ONCC certification and NC or Compact licensure for a Med/Surg unit.
Details
- Oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Floating requirements may apply based on unit needs
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ONS or ONCC certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
- Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide oncology nursing care within a med/surg unit
- Orientation sessions occur on a bi-weekly basis
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31 - March 31) with no exemptions
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local

Unnecessarily strict policies when sick/injured; doctor notes are not accepted as an “excuse”, micromanagement, unprofessional leadership, bullying, favoritism and unfairness, not willing to train certain people in certain areas or approve certain people’s requests off , heavy workload and constantly being rushed, micromanaged, and distracted by gossip/drama while having to pay attention to detail, not willing to repair/replace certain functions.
