Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care and inpatient experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting treating adult patients only
• Primary patient populations include orthopedic, neurologic, ICU, and oncology cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00a-4:30p with 10:00a-6:30p on Wednesdays
• Very limited weekend requirements
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Current MA state license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Inpatient experience required for consideration
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Proficient in patient assessment, including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, vital sign monitoring, and pain assessment
• Skilled in use of adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and body mechanics
• Experience with documentation including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating adult patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and oncology conditions in an acute care setting
• May utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, walkers, and specialty beds
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days of the week if scheduled
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
