Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with orthopedic and cardiac drip experience for a day-shift assignment requiring a compact or Alabama RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical/Orthopedic unit with occasional MS/telemetry overflow
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7
• Cardiac drip management required at times, including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 0700-1930
• Block scheduling may be accommodated

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required; pending AL license applications accepted
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Must be proficient in administering cardiac drips (cardizem, tridil, amiodarone)
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to orthopedic and medical/surgical patients, including cardiac telemetry overflow cases as needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside outside a 90-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Previous permanent staff are ineligible for travel assignments for 10 years after separation
