Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of adult critical care and emergency department experience on night shift

Details

• Respiratory Float Pool role covering Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department units
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7p-7:30a
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Dark grey scrub color required

Requirements

• Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable
• Current ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Proficient in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with medication delivery systems such as nebulizers, MDIs, and aerosol setups
• Skilled in drawing and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Experience with equipment such as Hamilton G5, Puritan Bennett 980, Philips Respironics V60, Optiflow, and CoughAssist
• PA fingerprints required for clearance
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration

• Work in a 186-bed community teaching hospital and Level II Adult Trauma Center
• Facility is part of a large academic health system serving Pennsylvania and New Jersey
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted with a reduced rate applying to those residing within 50 miles of the facility
