Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a float pool position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a GA or compact RN license and prior high-acuity hospital experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering all Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Deferred schedule type with no RTO permitted
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical specialty
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced trauma situations
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Skills checklist, certification cards, and Nursys license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float to various Medical/Surgical units as staffing needs require
• Work within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and severe cases
• Block scheduling is generally not approved by units
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
