Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 procedure rooms
- Team-based care model with 3 team members supporting each patient procedure
- Day shift staffing includes 1 supervisor, 3 RNs, and 2 Cath Lab Techs, with on-call only coverage overnight
- Uses Phillips and Siemens Fluoro equipment
- Charting done in MERGE Hemo for Cath Lab documentation and Meditech Expanse
- Shift schedule is 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Schedule includes one full weekend plus 2 weekdays for a total of 10 shifts per 4-week schedule
- Floating required to Pre/Post Cath Department
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience required
- Electrophysiology experience preferred
- Experience with procedures such as left and right heart caths, pacemaker/ICD, Watchman, IR procedures, vascular procedures, and EP ablations (PFA) preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Cardiac Cath Lab setting alongside RNs and Cath Lab Techs
- Follow procedural guidelines including universal precautions, timeout procedures, and moderate sedation protocols
- Hospital-provided sky blue scrubs required
- Team player with a flexible approach is ideal for this environment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
