Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 3-procedure-room Cardiac Cath Lab department
• Team-based model with 3 staff members per patient procedure
• Day shift team includes 1 supervisor, 3 RNs, and 2 Cath Lab Techs
• Night coverage is on-call only staffed by RNs and Cath Lab Techs
• Uses Phillips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
• Documentation performed in MERGE Hemo and Meditech Expanse
• Shift scheduled 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Schedule includes one full weekend plus 2 weekdays totaling 10 shifts per four-week period
• Floating required to the Pre/Post Cath Department

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
• Electrophysiology experience preferred
• Experience with procedures such as left and right heart caths, pacemaker/ICD implants, Watchman, IR procedures, vascular cases, and EP ablations (PFA)
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Follow procedural guidelines including universal precautions, timeout procedures, and moderate sedation protocols
• Hospital-provided sky blue scrubs required
• Team player and flexible personality fit preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates will not be considered
