Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg/Oncology RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of hospital experience and post-surgical care skills.

Details

• 31-bed Oncology Med Surg unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Standard med surg equipment with some traction
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Floating required within med surg

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary license not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of hospital experience required
• 1+ years of recent experience in Med Surg/Oncology specialty required
• Post-surgical care experience required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Oncology chemo (ONC) certification preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Oncology or med surg certification preferred but not required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide general med surg and oncology care including chemo administration, neutropenia precautions, post-op care, CBI, and hospice care
• Scrub color for RNs is royal blue
• Clean and healthy nails required, no artificial nails, gel, or similar enhancements
• Hair must be neat and clean, pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Body art should be covered when feasible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Facility follows a company-wide attendance policy
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
