Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute unit position requiring a CA RN license and ACLS certification.

Details

• Med/Surg Acute unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 0630-1900, three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty required, with recent experience within the last 3 months
• Cerner or Epic experience must be documented if applicable

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for an assigned patient or group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
• Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
• Develops and implements individualized care plans and evaluates patient progress toward outcomes
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Delegates duties appropriately and coordinates the healthcare team
• Accepts local candidates with no radius rule, and local rates match travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Candidates with any prior licensure action will not be considered
• Required annual vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
