Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit in a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Cares for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor)
• Provides medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed care
• Night shift, 7pm-7am, three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Schedule includes every other weekend
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or multi-state compact license required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Flu shot required with no exceptions
• Pediatric-only RN experience does not meet requirements for this role

Additional Information

• Utilize the Nursing Process to coordinate comprehensive, holistic patient care addressing physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Report to the Unit Director and collaborate closely with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shifts
• Work alongside board-certified physicians providing round-the-clock emergency services
• Located in a rural area without public transportation or rideshare services, so personal vehicle is recommended
• Facility can provide local housing resource lists, though travelers are responsible for securing their own housing
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before the start date
