Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.
Details
- General Med/Surg unit in a 25-bed critical access hospital
- Cares for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor)
- Provides medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed care
- Night shift, 7pm-7am, three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- Schedule includes every other weekend
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active VT RN license or multi-state compact license required
- Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Flu shot required with no exceptions
- Pediatric-only RN experience does not meet requirements for this role
Additional Information
- Utilize the Nursing Process to coordinate comprehensive, holistic patient care addressing physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
- Report to the Unit Director and collaborate closely with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shifts
- Work alongside board-certified physicians providing round-the-clock emergency services
- Located in a rural area without public transportation or rideshare services, so personal vehicle is recommended
- Facility can provide local housing resource lists, though travelers are responsible for securing their own housing
- All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before the start date
