Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Neuro RN for a specialized 21-bed unit requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.
Details
- 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit
- Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury cases
- Surgical caseload includes brain and spine tumor resections, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer
- Level IV Epilepsy center caring for patients with implanted electrodes and scalp leads
- D/N rotation schedule at 36 hrs/wk
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact)
- BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
- Experience with chest tubes and general tube management
- Experience managing drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
- Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
- Experience caring for trach and laryngectomy patients
- Telemetry experience
- Experience managing complex wounds
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience
Additional Information
- Care for patients in the only Epilepsy Center in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
