Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro unit position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience.
Details
- 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit
- Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury cases
- Surgical population includes tumor resections (brain and spine), spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer patients
- Unit functions as a Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center with implanted electrodes and scalp lead monitoring
- Only Epilepsy Center of its kind in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Day/Night rotation schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact)
- BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
- Experience with chest tubes and other tube management
- Experience administering drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
- Experience managing lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
- Experience caring for patients with trachs and laryngectomies
- Telemetry monitoring experience
- Complex wound care experience
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience

- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
