Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring an active TN or compact license and at least one year of MS/Tele experience at a Level III trauma center.

Details

• Medical-surgical telemetry unit within a Level III trauma center hospital
• Patient population includes all ages
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend work required
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Floating as needed to similar medical-surgical units
• Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Meditech EHR system in use

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• IV insertion skills required
• Tennessee Abuse Registry background check required prior to start

Additional Information

• Deliver nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients within a 167-bed, Level III trauma center
• Professional demeanor expected; any scrub color acceptable but casual attire not permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
