Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care Adult Rehab Services unit, requiring acute care and trauma experience and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Details
- Adult Rehab Services unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Patient population includes acute care and trauma cases
- Travel experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current PT license required if applicable, Oklahoma license preferred
- Current BLS certification from AHA required upon hire
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Acute care and trauma experience required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and PT equipment needed
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
- Basic computer knowledge required
Additional Information
- Interprets physician orders, evaluates patients, and formulates treatment plans to meet short and long-term goals
- Modifies treatment plans based on patient response and progress
- Participates in discharge planning, including writing and instructing patients on home programs
- Documents treatment results and patient responses in medical records
- May supervise and assist PT students during clinical rotations, depending on experience level
- Responsible for maintaining and cleaning department equipment
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible
- Returning travelers may extend a contract only once for a maximum of 26 weeks total, and must have a 6-month separation before applying for another contract
- Open to first-time travelers given prior travel experience is not required
