Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level 4 NICU/Pediatric Cardiac unit requiring 2+ years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience.

Details

• Works in a Level 4 NICU with Pediatric Cardiac patients at a teaching hospital
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• No floating to sister facilities required, floating within scope depends on experience
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience required
• RRT certification required
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) certification/license accepted
• SC RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• License required if applicable
• Epic experience preferred
• Bronchoscopy patient care experience preferred
• Experience with airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation
• Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostics services within a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status
• Holiday rotation required
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers considered depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies, with local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
