Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU Level 4 and Pediatric Cardiac night shift position requiring RRT, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work in a NICU Level 4 and Pediatric Cardiac unit within a teaching hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May float within scope of practice depending on experience, with no floating to sister facilities
• Holiday rotation required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
• Pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience required
• Current RRT, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• AHA-issued certifications only
• South Carolina RRT license required in hand at time of start (license required if applicable)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Bronchoscopy experience preferred
• Experience with airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation required
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration

• Level 1 trauma teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds and Magnet designation
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• Onetime $20 parking pass fee applies for nights and weekends
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• 60-mile radius rule applies
