Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU Level 4/Pediatric Cardiac position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience.
Details
- NICU Level 4 and Pediatric Cardiac unit within a pediatric critical care setting
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call requirement
- Floating within scope may be required depending on experience
- No floating to sister facilities
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- RRT certification required (NBRC and SC RCP accepted)
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- AHA certifications only
- Pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience required
- Epic experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Bronchoscopy patient care experience preferred
- Experience with airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation required
- SC RRT license required to be in hand at time of start; pending license may be considered at submission but must be active before starting
- License required if applicable
- Social Security Number and Driver's License required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in a Level 4 NICU and Pediatric Cardiac unit
- Work within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All RTO must be submitted at time of application; requests after submission will not be accepted
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
- Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
