Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma and Level 4 NICU designation, requiring RRT certification and 2+ years of pediatric/neonatal experience.

Details

• Works in NICU Level 4, Pediatric Cardiac, and Pediatric Critical Care units
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• On-call not required
• Floating within scope may be required depending on experience
• No floating to sister facilities required
• Epic EMR preferred

Requirements

• RRT certification required (NBRC or SC RCP accepted)
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric, neonate, and infant experience required
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Skilled in airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation
• Bronchoscopy patient care experience preferred
• South Carolina RRT license required at time of start
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients in critical care settings
• Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status and 865 staffed beds
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September)
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
