Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience for a night shift position in a Level 4 NICU and Pediatric Cardiac unit.

Details

• Pediatric respiratory therapy department including NICU Level 4 and Pediatric Cardiac patients
• 3x12 night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities
• Epic EMR preferred

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) certifications accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory care
• SC RRT license required if applicable; must be in hand at time of start
• Experience with airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation required
• Bronchoscopy care experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients in a Level 4 NICU and Pediatric Cardiac setting
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidate determination
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
