Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and a CA RN license.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit following an LDRP model
- 36 hours per week on rotating night shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- No call requirements
- Requires EPIC experience
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- ACLS and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire if not already held
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required at hire and renewed every two years
- Novice L&D nurses must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course during first 6-8 months of orientation
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Additional Information
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as a Registered Nurse
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care responsibilities
- Position is represented by CNA (California Nurses Association)
- Adhere to established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote teamwork among the healthcare team
- Participate in shared governance and hospital committees
- Adhere to all applicable professional, regulatory, and hospital policies and procedures
- Attend mandatory ethics training program
- Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates match travel rates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will not be considered
- Candidates with any prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
